Live Performance Vocal Workshop with Kelly Fraser
Our new Vocal Performance Workshop gives you the opportunity to perform a song or two with our live house band in a friendly and supportive environment. You will receive feedback and tips from professional vocal coach, Kelly Fraser, helping you to develop your performance skills and grow in confidence.
Please get in touch to secure your space - a list of songs to choose from at various levels will be sent to you in due course.

Summer School 2026
Thirst’s Summer School offers an exciting opportunity for young people aged 8-18 to come together and form bands, working collaboratively to learn and perform pre-chosen songs, as well as songs they choose themselves. Both weeks culminate in a live performance at The Fermain Tavern on Sunday 2nd August, where each band performs, showing what they have been working on. The summer school combines fun with valuable teamwork skills, as students not only develop their musical talents but also learn to cooperate and create music as a group. Each year features a unique theme to guide the bands in choosing songs which fit, making the experience both educational and enjoyable!
13-18 year olds: Mon 20st - Fri 24th July 2026
8-12 year olds: Mon 27th July - Fri 31st July 2026
Price: £280 (20% discount for Thirst students if paid by 31st of May 2026)
Battle of the School Bands 2026
This exciting annual event sees young people from years 7 to 11 represent their school by competing to win £1000 for their band and £500 for their school. The bands perform three contemporary songs in front of family, friends and a panel of judges. These performances are the culmination of months of hard work and practice, supported by one of our band mentors.
Thirst Music School Christmas Drop-in
Thirst Music School’s annual Christmas Drop-in is back on Saturday, the 13th of December. This exciting yearly event includes festive live music, as well as free refreshments, including teas, coffees, buscuits and cakes.
Note: Extra parking can be found at Waitrose where the recycling bins used to be.
Summer School 2025
Thirst Music School’s summer school offers an exciting opportunity for kids of all ages to come together and form bands, working collaboratively to learn and perform a select set of songs, as well as songs they choose. This year’s program culminates in a live performance at The Vault on Sunday, August 3rd, where each band showcases their hard work. The summer school combines fun with valuable teamwork skills, as students not only develop their musical talents but also learn to cooperate and create as a group. Each year features a unique theme, guiding the bands in choosing songs that fit the concept, making the experience both educational and enjoyable.
Songs for Summer
Join us at Delancey Elim Church on July 4th for Thirst Music School's Songs for Summer event, featuring a vibrant collection of performances by our vocal and woodwind students. Experience an engaging mix of popular and classical pieces that showcase the talent and dedication of our musicians. From soulful vocal melodies to rich woodwind harmonies, this event promises a delightful musical journey perfect for celebrating the summer season and unwinding the mind on a summer evening.
Vocal Workshop with Kelly Fraser
Kelly is a successful singer, freelance industry vocal coach and music therapist. She has worked on X-Factor for 5 years as part of the vocal coaching team and has also coached on Britain’s Got Talent, Blue Peter, Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, and for Disney and Kidz Bop.Her work as a performer has been varied and includes featuring on BBC 1 Pitch Battle as well as providing backing vocals for Mica Paris, Rick Astley, Omar and Shaun Escoffery at the O2 arena, Wembley Arena and Shepherds Bush Empire.Kelly has extensive professional training and holds a First-Class Honours degree in Popular Music, a PgCert in Education and a Masters in Music Therapy. She worked as Principle Lecturer at BIMM London for over 12 years and now runs a successful private vocal coaching practice. Currently working as a Music Therapist at a Children’s Hospice in the UK, Kelly is usually on-island once a year to give 1-1 vocal lessons and hold a workshop.
